Vanguard lets your character visit the planet Telin, which is split into several continents and groups of islands. At beginning you get to choose one of 19 races for your character. This choice will influence your role in the game. Basically there are damage dealers, healers and tanks available. These are dispersed among 15 classes which may be unlocked during gameplay. Furthermore you may learn differend handcrafting skills and use them.

In addition to the crafting and adventure system a diplomatic system is implemented in Vanguard as an additional part of the game. You can raise your diplomatic status using game cards. But be careful - your enemies are on to you!
